The Madras Principal Sessions Court has dismissed the Anticipatory bail of Kishore K Samy, who posted on Twitter criticizing Chief Thiru Minister Stalin.
On November 1st, Kishor K Samy denounced Chief Minister MK Stalin’s activities during the monsoon floods on Twitter. The Chennai Metropolitan Police Department’s Cyber Crime Unit filed a case against Kishore K. Sami and issued a notice for inquiry based on the information the police had in this respect. He allegedly failed to show up after receiving many notices for the hearing on November 5, 7, 9, and 14.
Kishore K. Sami had submitted a petition to the Chennai Principal Sessions Court asking for anticipatory relief out of fear of being detained. When the petition was scheduled to be heard by Justice S. Alli, Kishore K Sami’s side explained that he had only mentioned his friend on Twitter.
His plea was dismissed by Justice Alli, stating that if release was granted prior to the non-appearance, the court would have given the false information to this community. In this instance, he was taken into custody by TN police this morning in Pondicherry.
The police have also registered seven cases against Kishore K Sami for posting harassing comments on social media and he has also made this a habit.
